A recap of the advice on this page

Good to have nearby:

Heat protectant spray (optional, though recommended for daily use)

A mirror with plenty of light, ideally natural daylight

A sectioning clip for thick or very long hair

Three things. Two minutes. Better results.

A few quick prep steps separate decent results from amazing ones.

01

Start with dry, detangled hair

How to do it

Check that your hair is fully dry. Run a standard brush or comb through it to clear every tangle and knot. The GoBrush PRO is meant for dry hair only.

The reason

Heated brushing does not work well on wet or damp strands. Beginning with dry, knot-free hair means a sleek, uniform finish with fewer passes.

Expert Tip: Hair freshly washed? Allow it to air dry or blow-dry it first. The GoBrush PRO is built for finishing and styling, not as a substitute for a hair dryer.

02

Choose your heat setting

How to do it

Power On: Hold the power button down for a few seconds to switch the device on or off.

Choose Temperature: Tap the power / temperature button to move through the three heat levels:

The reason

Excess heat on fine hair does needless damage, while too little heat on thick hair requires extra passes and weaker hold. Picking the setting that fits your hair gives the best outcome for the least effort.

Temperature Chart

160°C / 320°F — Ideal for fine, soft or thin hair.

180°C / 356°F — Ideal for normal or wavy hair.

200°C / 392°F — Suited to thick, strong, coarse or coily hair.

Expert Tip: Warm-up takes roughly 60 seconds. Before you start, wait until the LED display shows the temperature you chose.

03

Apply heat protectant (optional but recommended)

How to do it

Lightly mist heat protectant over your hair, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends. Give it 30 seconds to dry.

The reason

A heat protectant creates a shield between the bristles and the outer layer of each strand. It adds shine and tames frizz as well, and everyday users gain the most from this step.

Expert Tip: Go light. Too much spray makes hair heavy and slows styling. Two or three fine mists are plenty for most lengths.

About charging: A complete charge needs 2 to 3 hours over USB-C and delivers 30 to 45 minutes of non-stop use, which covers 3 or more full styling sessions. Look at the LED display to see the battery level before starting. Note too that the device will not power on while the charger is still connected; it only works unplugged.

You got this.

Pick the technique that fits the look you are after. Each takes 5 minutes at most.

Step 1

The 90-Second Sweep

Straight & Smooth

WHAT TO DO

Begin at the back of your neck and divide your hair into small sections. Set the brush at the root and slide it slowly down to the ends in a single, even motion, using gentle, short strokes. Work through every section, moving from the back of the head toward the front, then do the same on the opposite side.

WHY IT MATTERS

Small sections let each strand meet the hot bristles evenly. Starting at the nape means the trickiest areas get done first, while your patience is at its peak.

PRO TIPS

Expert Tip: Take it slow. Rushing the brush is the biggest mistake newcomers make. A single slow pass beats three quick ones.

Expert Tip: For an even smoother result, pinch a small section between your fingers right above the brush while you glide down. That adds gentle tension and boosts the smoothing effect.

Step 2

The Volume Boost

Root Lift

WHAT TO DO

Pick up a section at the crown and slide the brush beneath it, near the roots. Raise the brush at a 45-degree angle, pause for 2 to 3 seconds, then glide down to the ends. Do this on each section where you want more volume.

WHY IT MATTERS

Brushing upward from underneath creates natural body and lift at the roots. That step is what separates styled hair from hair that is just straight.

PRO TIPS

Expert Tip: Concentrate on the crown and the pieces around your face, since volume there makes the most visible impact.

Expert Tip: With fine or thinning hair, this technique alone can create a thicker, fuller look without any product.

Step 3

The Sleek Finish

Shine & Finish

WHAT TO DO

After every section is done, make one last pass from the top of your head to the ends with long, unbroken strokes. Let the negative ion technology work its magic. This pass seals in smoothness and adds gloss.

WHY IT MATTERS

The closing pass flattens the outer layer of the hair (the cuticle) and traps the negative ions that fight frizz and static. It marks the gap between styled hair and a salon finish.

PRO TIPS

Expert Tip: Once the last pass is done, keep your hands off your hair for 30 seconds so it can cool and set in place. That helps the style last longer.

Waves and soft bends styling
Step 4

Waves & Soft Bends

Optional

WHAT TO DO

Pick up a section and wrap it loosely around the curved end of the brush. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds, then let go softly so the wave settles naturally. Alternate the curl direction from one section to the next for a more natural finish.

WHY IT MATTERS

The rounded edge of the GoBrush PRO lets you form soft bends and relaxed waves with no separate curling tool. One device, many looks.

PRO TIPS

Expert Tip: Avoid winding too tight. You want a loose bend, not a tight ringlet. The heat and the brush's shape handle the rest.

Expert Tip: For the longest-lasting waves, use the 180°C or 200°C setting. When using the lowest setting on fine hair, hold for a few extra seconds.

Something not right? There is a fix.

Locate your problem below, read the solution, and you will be set again.

Battery drains quickly

Why it happens
Running the top heat setting nonstop, or skipping a full charge before the first use.

FIX IT

Give the first charge a full 2 to 3 hours. Choose the lowest heat level that works for your hair type, since lower levels stretch battery life. One full charge provides 30 to 45 minutes, enough for several styling sessions.

The brush will not heat or shuts off unexpectedly

Why it happens
The battery is low, or the automatic safety shut-off has kicked in.

FIX IT

Check the LED display for battery level and charge through USB-C for 2 to 3 hours. As a safety feature, the GoBrush PRO shuts off after a period of inactivity; tap the power button to wake it again. Should it still not heat after a full charge, contact Flown support.

Frizz remains after styling

Why it happens
Gliding the brush too quickly, choosing a heat level too low for your hair, or beginning with damp hair.

FIX IT

Move more slowly, because a single calm pass outperforms three hurried ones. On the lowest level, go up one setting. First make sure your hair is completely dry. For stubborn frizz, mist on a little heat protectant before styling.

Hair catches or pulls during styling

Why it happens
Starting with knotted hair, or pressing too firmly.

FIX IT

Before using the GoBrush PRO, detangle with a regular brush or comb. Use gentle, even pressure; the warm bristles do the work, so don't force it. With thick or very curly hair, take smaller sections.

The style falls out

Why it happens
The heat level is too low for your hair, or you touch and restyle the hair too soon after brushing.

FIX IT

Step up one heat level. After the last pass, leave your hair alone for 30 seconds so it cools and sets, and do not run your fingers through it right away. For added hold, finish with a light-hold hairspray.

Three habits. Better hair every day.

Clean the bristles regularly.

Over time, hair, dust and product residue collect between the bristles. Every few uses, gently clear the buildup with a small cleaning brush or dry cloth. Clean bristles warm more uniformly and glide better.

Store it in the travel pouch.

Bristles and the heating element stay protected inside the pouch, so you can toss the brush into your bag without fearing knocks. A brush kept safe works better and lasts longer.

Charge it the night before.

Plug in your GoBrush PRO the night before use, or earlier that day. Starting with a full battery means it won't die in the middle of a style. Any standard charger, laptop or power bank works with the USB-C cable.
